Rodger Harrison

Managing Director
Rodger is our pioneer and founder and has been delivering environmental engineering projects for 34 years with Harrison Civils. Rodger also worked at Shell Oil and the Environment Agency and he is one of the UK’s leading authorities in Sewage Treatment.

Rodger’s clarity of vision to cleanse Norfolk’s waterways and his steely drive and determination to overcome obstacles is the reason we are growing nationally.

Conrad Webb

Commercial Director
Conrad is an accomplished Commercial Property Investor, Owner and Manager since 2004, he has built a substantial business with strong meaningful and enduring partnerships over the past 20 years. His career began at 18 as a Rigger and Fabricator in Structural Engineering in the UK, then at age 22, in Australia, he co-founded a successful brick paving company. Returning to the UK in the first half of the 1990’s, he became an art specialist in the European Sculpture and Works of Art Department at Sotheby’s, London. Then, combining his talents, he was made Director of Facilities for both the North and South Americas at Sotheby’s in New York.

Zak Simmonds

Technical Director
Zak has worked in nutrient neutrality since 2021 and has been involved in over 500 nutrient assessments. Many of these developments are small, rural sites which require a complete understanding of off mains drainage, General Binding Rules compliance and the Small Scale Exemption Criteria. Zak identified that Civil and Environmental Engineers (who have a background in surface water and foul water drainage design) are best placed to undertake nutrient assessments. He worked as a Civil Engineer himself for over 10 years, completing drainage strategies and civils design for highly complex sites, including former gas works, quarries and heavily contaminated land.

Graham Sinclair

UK Operations Manager
Graham takes an operational lead across all aspects of the business, combining technical aspects, right through to site based operations and back room management, working closely with all divisional heads.  Graham brings with him nearly 15 years’ experience in a fast-paced consultancy environment where he grew his technical and managerial expertise, most recently in Nutrient Neutrality, before moving into this diverse role. With a wide knowledge of England’s planning system, Graham is well versed in working with developers of all sizes. He has an in depth understanding of how funding, finances and the release of credits need be structured to deliver forward momentum – and the key factors that ensure successful Nutrient Neutrality.  Graham’s grounding in the technical detail of Nutrient Neutrality also means he has a clear vision for national growth of the business across all relevant catchment areas.

Darren Wood

Office Manager and Coordinator
Darren is one of the most important people in our company and his range of work is vast and diverse. Darren liaises with all departments to ensure the smooth flow of documentation. With a background in banking, Darren is keenly aware of all of the complications involved in dealing with banks and mortgage companies and therefore provides invaluable help to our solicitors. He has adapted to suit his role and also has a good handle on the technical work and installation side of the business. His contributions are invaluable and he ensures that everything is on time and that all highlighted issues are resolved.

Phoebe Blay

Accounts Manager
Phoebe ensures the smooth operation of the construction side of the business by settling all invoices and ensuring that all employees are paid on time. Phoebe ensures that the engine keeps on moving and has a wide range of responsibilities to ensure that everything works like clockwork.

John Mace

Construction Manager
John is our Construction Manager, who oversees every install that takes place. John has many years of construction experience and is the sort of person who can fix anything just be looking at it. He ensures that the company’s high standards are met and that every install is completed to perfection. He also oversees all deliveries, coordinates all of the construction crews and purchases the necessary materials required to complete the job.

Barney Townsend

BEng – Engineering Manager
Barney is an experienced Civil and Environmental Engineer and has been undertaking nutrient assessments for over a year. Barney has completed over 200 nutrient assessments and over 250 Technical Mitigation Reports and completes each one with precision and focus. He has a deep understanding of water quality and our natural world and has been integral in our continued understanding of eutrophication.

Noah Ferrison

Civil & Environmental Engineer 
Noah is one of our dedicated technical specialists who undertakes nutrient assessments and nutrient budget calculations. Noah holds a Masters (MEng) in Civil Engineering. He has a passion for the environment, both built and natural, and is proactive, with excellent attention to detail.

Steven Jeffreys

IEng MICE FIHE MInstLM MInstRE – Senior Engineer
Steven is our Senior Civil Engineer. He currently leads our civil engineering team with full responsibility for project management, technical delivery, financial oversight, stakeholder coordination, and team mentoring. With a strong background in highways and drainage design, including S278, S38, S104, and SuDS applications, he has been involved in projects from concept through to completion. His career spans roles as a technician, practice manager, and senior engineer, backed by six years of military service in the Royal Engineers, where he developed leadership and operational skills. Notable projects include Dudley College, Common Farm, Wembley Park, and Derby Silk Mill, showcasing his expertise in complex design and site problem-solving. He is proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Site 3D, Microdrainage, and Causeway Flow.

Leonardo Costa

BEng – Civil and Environmental Engineer
Leo is a dedicated and hardworking Civil and Environmental Engineer who has a natural drive to understand each task that he is handed. Leo has a detailed understanding of drainage design and is well versed in General Binding Rules compliance and drainage design. Leo also has a good understanding of nutrients and is fully cognisant of our technical reporting requirements.

Chang Gao

MSc MSc PhD – Wastewater Specialist
Chang is an experienced and driven Environmental Engineer and Researcher with over seven years of expertise in wastewater treatment and three years in water system design. Currently completing a PhD at Wageningen University, her research focuses on anaerobic granulation and bioresource recovery, supported by interdisciplinary collaboration. She has led over 20 building water system designs, ensuring regulatory compliance and technical precision, and has published multiple papers in top-tier journals. Skilled in CAD, Biowin modeling, and data analysis, Gao combines academic depth with practical experience.

Reuben Harrison

Monitoring and Technology Service Manager
Reuben takes charge of our monitoring team and manages our bespoke telemetry for the Graf One2Clean systems we install.  Reuben’s role is varied, covering quarterly testing and annual serving/reporting to ensure all plants are working to their optimum efficiency and in line with the regulations and legal obligations to which we are bound. 

Sophie Betts

Administration Manager
Sophie oversees the organisation’s administrative operations including call handling, scheduling, enquiries and documentation. Her team are often the first point of contact for customers ensuring enquiries are handled efficiently and professionally. Sophie holds a degree in Business Management and comes to us with over 10 years of management experience from automotive and manufacturing industries.

Deborah Jones

Administrator
Deborah works closely with Sophie ensuring a smooth flow of information through the business and prompt customer communications.  She acts as a main point of contact for customers and handles work scheduling, enquiries, customer queries as well as helping compile legal documentation and taking customers through the signing process. Deborah is also chief biscuit supplier for the four-legged friends in the office.

Ciani Walsh

Administrator
Ciani is in charge of performing all technical administration tasks for the company. This includes liaising with engineers, uploading reports to workpal and reviewing our extensive collection of spreadsheets. She ensures that the interface between departments is seamless allowing all reports to be visible in one place.

John Allinson

Surveyor
John is our chief surveyor and is often the first person a customer will see once they have signed up for a Septic Tank Upgrade.  He visits customers’ properties to undertake a detailed assessment of the existing septic tank system to determine both eligibility for upgrade and any site constraints with regards access, levels and various other factors.  This is followed by a detailed survey report which forms part of the pack of information used to demonstrate a system is eligible for upgrade.  

 

Anne Stacey

Hospitality Manager
Anne is the lifeblood of our office and keeps us all very much in check.  She works across all aspects of the business and makes sure everything in the background ticks along as it should whilst simultaneously ensuring both the building and its employees are presentable for the outside world!

Autumn

Head of Security
Autumn takes her role very seriously. From her elevated position in the boardroom with views right across our factory site, she is able to quickly vet any visitors and alert us to anyone who does not meet her exacting criteria. She is a regular visitor to board meetings and we must always ensure a chair is reserved should she wish to attend.

Marmalade

Head of Snack Provision
Unlike Autumn, Marmalade is more interested in the snacks an intruder might be bringing with them rather than seeing them off the premises. When not outside chasing anything that moves, she can usually be found lounging in Graham’s office wondering why she hasn’t been fed anything in the last ten minutes.
