National Rivers Consortium wins best overall trade stand at the 2026 Royal Norfolk Show

The National Rivers Consortium (NRC) has been awarded the trophy for best overall trade stand at the 2026 Royal Norfolk Show, recognised for the most effective and well-laid-out exhibit at the event, coupled with excellent customer service.

The Bishop of Norwich and president of the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association (RNAA) presented the award to the NRC team on the morning of Wednesday 25 June, the second day of the two-day show at the Norfolk Showground.

The Royal Norfolk Show is the UK’s largest two-day county show, contributing more than £25 million to Norfolk’s economy each year. A record number of businesses attended this year, with more than 750 firms exhibiting across the showground. Temperatures on day one exceeded 30°C, making it one of the hottest shows on record.

NRC exhibited at Stand 392, Avenue 9, presenting its work to Norfolk homeowners and to developers, architects and planning professionals seeking verified nutrient credits for sites within nutrient-affected catchments.

The award criteria recognised both the quality of the stand’s design and layout and the standard of customer engagement delivered by the NRC team across both days, for a company whose work depends on building trust with homeowners and with developers; that recognition carries weight. The conversations that happen at events like this are often the first point of contact between NRC and the people it serves. Customer service is central to how the NRC team operates, whether that means walking a homeowner through what an upgrade involves, answering technical questions from a planning consultant, or simply taking the time to listen to someone’s concerns before anything else. The team on the stand comprised the same people who manage those relationships day-to-day, and the award recognised the way they engaged with visitors across both days of the show, despite the challenging conditions on day one.

“Being recognised for the best overall trade stand at an event of this scale is a proud moment for the team,” said Rodger Harrison, Managing Director of NRC. “The Royal Norfolk Show gave us a platform to speak directly with homeowners and with developers about Nutrient Nutrality. That recognition reflects the quality of those conversations as much as the stand itself.”

Graham Sinclair, UK Operations Manager, added: “We take customer service seriously because the work we do relies on people trusting us, whether that’s a homeowner letting us onto their property or a developer relying on our credits for planning. Winning this award in a field of more than 500 exhibitors tells us that commitment comes across, and that matters to us.”
